Well over 300 people gathered to share their knowledge and network with several peace-loving organizations. (Details of participants here.)

Speeches from 17 speakers from the religious, political, and activist communities were consistently informative, and often inspirational. Five different bands/solo acts filled the air with music, poets poured their hearts out, and Mark Twain shared his thoughts on peace.

Dennis Kucinich sent his best via a letter read to all, and Cindy Sheehan called us to tell us to keep up the great work, and stand in solidarity with other Gold Star Mothers asking for impeachment.

We took extra special pride in the fact that we had the chairpeople of the Pinellas and Hillsboro Green Party, Republican and Democrat Congressional Candidates all agreeing: Peace is not partisan, and we must leave Iraq now!

Media coverage included St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Tribune, WFLA, (Tampa/NBC/Ch. 8), WTSP (St. Pete/CBS/Ch. 10, and WTVT (Tampa/Fox/Ch. 13).

The Car Caravan likewise generated good participation, with dozens of cars confirmed driving by MacDill AFB and onward throughout the city, signs proudly displaying solidarity with our soldiers and calling for an end to the madness in Iraq. It's rumoured that this recieved some tv coverage, but details are unavailable at this time.

If you can report on additional coverage not mentioned here, please contact Jay Alexander or Jesse Kern with details.

The steering committee of the event would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all who participated, and we look forward to standing for peace with you again!
