"Mission Accomplished" Anniversary Vigil
When: Monday, May 1, 2006.
Where: Corner of West Gandy and South Dale Mabry, Tampa.
Thanks for those indiviuals and groups who joined us from as far as Ocala from Military Families Speak Out, from Inverness from Peace Now Citrus County and friends from the reorganized St Pete for Peace and others who read our add in the Planet and heard the psa on WMNF.
We even had several workers from MacDill stop and discuss the issue of Mission Accomplished Day.
The new business is the new $25.5 million Warfare Center at Special Operations Command to serve as the nerve center in the global war on terror. After a five minute ribbon cutting ceremony Congressman CW "Bill" Young the Indian Shores Republican who chairs the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and SoCom commander Gen. Bryan "Doug" Brown and after thanking each other and Congressman Young saying how he wished they could share more details about the Warfighter work they both disappeared into the secret facility. Wonder what secrets are being held in the new Warfighter Center and its next target. Is it Iran?
I implore all who care to find truth and justice to keep a presence there. We can make this international stategic center of that makes us an unlucky target of terrorism in our own backyard.
