Folks from throughout the Tampa Bay area gathered as Bishop Missing gave an inspirational message, we read the names of the Florida fallen -- over 100 in all -- and battled the winds off the bay to keep our candles lit. The St. Pete Times and Channel 10 were on hand, as well.

The vast majority of the responses we got from passers by was positive, and while Tampa's finest were parked across the street keeping an eye on us most of the evening, there were no incidents requiring their interaction.

One of the more interesting moments was when a curious bikerider stopped, listened to Bishop Missing for a while, and then said,"Very good, carry on" as he pedalled away. Possibly a military man, given his "carry on" reference.?

All in all, a successful event, and spiritually inspiring for this writer.
